Für Kommunikation soll ein Kabel mit mindestens 8 Adern und mindestens 0,75 mm² Aderquerschnitt durch die M20 KV Option Vergussverschraubung ausgeführt werden können.
Dadurch können zwei (2) Kommunikationskanäle (Ethernet, RS485, Ethernet-APL oder VDSL) ausführt werden. Da zwei Vergussverschraubung (eine als Standard und eine optional) zur Verfügung stehen ist dadurch der vollständige Mindestumfang der Kommunikation erfüllt.
